All our suits are canvassed and not glued.
The canvas is the thin fabric layer between the outer suit fabric and the lining. Many off-the-shelf suit jackets are fused with glue. You can easily test this by pinching the fabric on the upper front of the jacket. If it is hand stitched, you can feel the layer on the inside. If it is fused with glue, you will not feel it.
Our experienced tailors create a unique pattern based on your measurements. They then chalk it on the fabric you have chosen.
Canvassed, not glued. The canvas is a layer between the suit fabric and the lining that gives the jacket its shape. All our quality canvas is made from the finest horsehair. To test your suit jacket for this feature of excellence, pinch the fabric slightly at the front. If the canvas is hand stitched, you will feel an extra layer loose on the inside. If not, this means the suit fabric has been fused with glue.
